Minister

I am really glad to be the pastor here at Troutman 1st. God has blessed my wife and me ever since I accepted my calling as a pastor. I know I may look like I am 16 years old, but I have been in the ministry for 7 years and this is my third church. We look forward working with the great people here in the church and community. If you are looking for a place to belong and want to grow closer to God, please come and worship with us. We would love to have you. Take care and God Bless! John 15:5

"My mother insisted that I start piano lessons when I was 6 years old. I have been playing on-again-off-again ever since. I even started out majoring in Keyboard Music in college, but after hours of practice, decided that I was going to take an ax to the next piano I saw!

My true love is vocal music. So much can be said through song that cannot be said simply by talking. A good song can bring me as close to heaven as I can get on this earth. I love our choir - they work so hard and sound so good! Come join us and see for yourself!"

Pianist

Rosemary Murdock has lived in Iredell County since her birth. She is the mother of two children, Melissa and Douglas. Her parents are Grady and Alma Murdock.

Rosemary began playing piano at the age of 10. She took lessons from Mrs. Willie Mae Cook for six years. For two years, Rosemary took organ lessons from Mrs. Charlotte Clontz. However, piano was the instrument she loved. Under Ms. Artuso's instruction at Mitchell Community College, Rosemary again found herself learning more as a pianist.

From 1972 until 1993, Rosemary served as pianist at Beulah Baptist Church in Statesville. She began playing at First United Methodist Church of Troutman in November 2003.
