The "Women in Mission" presently have two groups which meet each month.  January, April, July, October and December are joint meetings.  Other months, the "Marys"  meet at 10am on the first Tuesday and the "Marthas" meet at 10am on the first Wednesday.  These meetings include a program or a guest speaker, refreshments and business.  

There are several fundraisers each year.  We have a luncheon and fashion show in the spring, family chicken and dumpling dinners, bake sales, etc.  The proceeds from these events are used for the missions of First UMC Women in Mission.

Some of the worthy causes we support with our prayers and our money are Fifth Street Ministries, Help Ministries, Hospice House, Pregnancy Resource Center, Samaritan's Purse. 

Our groups enjoy lots of fun, food and fellowship, but our main goal is to be disciples of Jesus Christ and reach out to "the last, the lost and the least".

We invite all women in the church to come to our meetings and participate in our events.  We need fresh ideas and the desire to help others.  You will be welcomed with open arms as a "Sister in Christ" and a "Kingdom Worker".
